Pete (portrayed by Duncan Duff) was a prospective new tenant for Kate's flat after Lee moved out. He was a well meaning man who spent his time travelling and helping the less fortunate in developing countries. He was scared away by Lee after he 'revealed' that Kate performed a show that involved a dead fish.
