Synopsis[]

In an attempt to secure a lucrative work contract Lucy (Sally Bretton) goes for dinner at a client's house but on her way home accidentally drives over his daughter's beloved pet rabbit. Panicking in case she loses the job, she inveigles Lee (Lee Mack) into her hair-brained scheme to get herself off the hook.

Plot[]

Lucy needs to secure a work contract. She goes to her client, Paul's house for dinner, but on the way home, she accidentally runs over Paul's daughter, Sophie's female pet rabbit. Lucy needs Lee and Daisy to help cover her tracks, and asks Lee to take the blame. When Lee gives the rabbit to Paul, he rejects it as not Sophie's. It turns out Lucy had hit the rabbit, but gave Lee a dead wild rabbit that was nearby, which she wrongly assumed was the pet. Lee tries to lighten the situation by jokingly claiming he is a rabbit thief named Warren Burrows, only for Paul to think he's a lunatic and call the police. Lucy and Lee buy a rabbit from a pet shop to replace it and attempt to place it in the hutch without anyone noticing, but Paul confronts them and realises that it is also not Sophie's, because it is male, forcing Lucy to finally come clean.

  • The black London cab that picked Lee up early on in the episode was exactly the same taxi as the one that drove Lucy and Robin in the series 3 episode, Party. The number plates are identical.
